2025 Honda Odyssey Pros & Cons

2025 Honda Odyssey felt me homecoming because my father use to have this vehicle when me and my siblings where small kids. since my childhood i have always been attached to this vehicle particularly with brand Odyssey. The 2025 model gave me nostalgic feeling, i know this is much updated and modern model than what we had in past but still this nameplate gave me nostalgic feeling. So, today i decided why not i should write a blog on pros and cons of latest all new 2025 Honda Odysseys.

Cons of 2025 Honda Odyssey

1. No Hybrid or Plug-In Hybrid Option

Extremely disappointed with Honda for not providing a hybrid option. I mean seriously? nowadays who does not offer hybrid option? Look at the competitors like Toyota Sienna and Chrysler Pacifica offer hybrid and plug-in hybrid option. I know Honda betting hard on their reliable V6 but they should have given Hybrid option.

2. No All-Wheel Drive

No hybrid option that’s okay but no all-wheel drive option not okay. People living in snowy and icy conditions what they going to do? they going to go with Toyota Sienna and Chrysler Pacifica is that simple. Back in day when we had Odyssey that time it was okay but now when we have more advance features common in competitors vehicles that’s i feel where Honda has to improve soon.

3. Tech Features Feel Outdated

I don’t know why Honda doing this to us, we are in 2025 and we still don’t get features like head-up display, a 360-degree camera, and a fully digital instrument cluster even the screen given is way smaller than what we get in Accord. However, if you are not tech savvy just who likes simple things it wont be problem for you.

4. LED Lighting Is Inconsistent

Honda Odyssey do get LED running lights and projectors, but what i don’t like is the turn signals, brake lights, and reverse lights are still old-school bulbs. Even the interior map lights aren’t LED. It’s a small detail, but for me it still makes a difference.

5. No Cool Box or Vacuum Option

Companies like Toyota offers a cool box to keep drinks chilled, and Honda used to have a built-in vacuum for cleaning up crumbs and dirt. Sadly, neither is available in the 2025 Odyssey. People with kids and big family will have to buy these accessories at extra cost from outside.

6. No Panoramic Roof Option

I don’t think it matters for all the peoples but i feel Honda should have offered a panoramic roof at least in one of the trim. it just feel great to get fresh air sometimes making it very necessary and must have feature.

7. Price

Starting at $42,500, the Odyssey is one of the pricier options in its class. The fully loaded Elite trim I tested costs around $51,100. I personally feel the 2025 Honda Odyssey is slightly overpriced, especially when you don’t get sunroof & Vacuum Option.

Pros of 2025 Honda Odyssey

1. The V6 Engine

The V6 Engine

Honda’s 3.5L naturally aspirated V6 just doesn’t have any competition in market its time tested engine offer smoothest drive experience. With 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque, this engine feels lively and even sounds good when you rev it out.

2. Practicality Is King

The 2025 Honda Odyssey is an high practicality vehicle. It has highest in class cargo space, you get 33 cubic feet of cargo space when seats are up while 86 cubic feet when third row seats are folded. Remove the second-row seats (though they’re heavy), and you get a massive 148 cubic feet of space. This i believe more than enough for any reason.

3. Comfortable and Spacious Cabin

Interior and comfort is the best part of 2025 Honda Odyssey, 12.8 inch rear display, slide seats in second row, apple play and android auto makes it more fun to drive. On top of that, third row is spacious enough for adults, with great headroom and legroom. Plus, there are sunshades, cup holders, and USB-C chargers everywhere.

4. Sliding Doors

Sliding doors are my favorite, they are easy to open and close even for the kids without worrying about dinging other cars in tight parking spaces. It’s a classic minivan feature, which works perfectly here.

5. Cabin Tech for Families

Cabin watch is great feature of 2025 Honda Odyssey which allows you to keep an eye on the kids via a ceiling-mounted camera, and CabinTalk allows you to talk to rear passengers. Plus, there’s a 12.8-inch entertainment screen with Amazon Fire TV built in.

6. Smooth and Relaxing Drive

Personally speaking, The 10-speed automatic transmission is smooth, the ride quality is excellent, and the steering feel very light.

7. Styling Updates

Overall, 2025 Honda Odyssey do look great especially in the Smoked Blue Pearl color. Also, the blacked-out accents and 19-inch wheels on the Elite trim add a touch of sportiness.
