2026 Toyota Supra, Is This the Last U.S. Model?

2026 Toyota Supra, Is This the Last U.S. Model?

2026 Toyota Supra is going to be last model of Supra. Although the 2025 model year was initially thought to be the last but 2026 Supra is going to be last now. However, i am disappointed that it does not get any major update.

No Major Changes for 2026

I am disappointed that 2026 Supra is not going to have nay significant updates. Knowing that this is final model with no major updates is more disappointing.

In 2025, the biggest update was the discontinuation of the 4-cylinder engine, paired with a slight price increase. For 2026, the price has risen again by $650, with the entry-level 3.0L model now starting at $56,900. The 3.0L Premium trim begins at $60,050. Both trims continue to offer a choice between an 8-speed automatic transmission and a 6-speed manual.

However, one surprising omission persists: blind spot monitoring is still not standard. On the Premium model, buyers must pay an additional $1,195 for the Driver Assist Package, which includes this feature. For the base 3.0L Supra, the cost is even higher at $3,155, as the package bundles safety features with a JBL sound system. At that point, many buyers might find it more practical to opt for the Premium trim outright.

Global Perspective A90 Model

There is surprise for Europe and Japan they will be getting A90 Final Edition which is updated version of 2026 Supra. However, there will 300 units of this model so you will have to act fast. highlighted features include aerodynamic and chassis upgrades, along with 429 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque.

Unfortunately, U.S market wiull not get this one. Instead, rumors suggest that American buyers might receive a “partially upgraded” Supra with 382 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque.

The Supra forums have been speculating on leaked images that hint at a potential Final Edition for the U.S. market. One dealership photo showed what appeared to be a special incoming model with a sky-high MSRP of $77,650.

This price far exceeds that of the standard Supra, leading to speculation that it might include unique features or design elements.

The Supra’s Market Struggles

We all know Supra is an legendary brand but in recent years its has been outsold by Nissan Z & Corvette C8. On top of that one major drawback is there is no discount on Supra. Which is countered by Nissan Z & Porsche 911 in the U.S sports car market.

Is the 2026 Supra Still Worth It?

Despite all the problems and no major upgrade 2026 Toyota Supra still makes an interesting offer. It’s B58 inline-six engine offers impressive 0 to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds.

However, i recommend you to check Nissan Z and Corvette C8 which provide much more premium experience at a similar price point. Additionally, the lack of standard safety features like blind spot monitoring is not acceptable at this price point.
