Before discussing all other details first understand what is the core problem of this recall. Main issue is of defective intake valves made from material known as “Silchrome Lite.” what problem is that because of excessive heat in manufacturing they become very brittle and prone to cracking.

In January 2025, a class-action lawsuit was filled against Ford Motors for this engine failure issue. Case alleged that Ford deliberately not disclosed this defect to their buyers. Ford dismissed the plaintiffs claim’s by saying that the did not face any engine issue or does not have direct experience of problem therefore lack standing to sue.
