Fastest Small EV in Class Peugeot e208 GTi Makes Debut




Peugeot e-208 GTi is completely different from the standard e-208 in terms of width, exterior design and specs. Front track is 56 mm wider and rear track is 27 mm wider. Also, this is 30 mm lower than the standard version making it look more sporty. It is also loaded with 18-inch Speedline alloy wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. For stopping power it has 355 mm front brake discs.
This electric vehicle is powered by 54 kWh battery pack and beefed-up electric drivetrain capable of sprint from 0 to 62 mph in just 5.7 seconds. Despite this fastest acceleration its top speed is limited to 112 mph.
For great controll in the cornering it features limited-slip differential, negative camber, and a stiffened rear anti-roll bar to ensure maximum grip. Also for more responsive handling Peugeot has given steering rack. Stability control software has been tweaked to allow more playfulness without compromising safety.
New suspensions are carefully tuned to compliant at lower speeds while stiffening under load. making Peugeot e-208 GTi comfortable for daily use. Plus 54 kWh battery gives 217-mile range (WLTP) with rapid charging from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes.
In the interior design, it is going to carry its performance theme with red carpets. this interior is inspired by Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce, another Stellantis Group performance EV.
