How It Was Made
Tesla first unveiled its Roadster in 2017, they initially planned to manufacture this in 2020 but due to some uncertainty about the market it got delayed. Now, Elon Musk in November 5 meeting announced that they are going to reveal this on April 1, 2026 and people can expect deliveries from the 2027.
Look and Speed
The Roadster has a smooth, wind-cutting shape with two doors and seats for four people. You can take off a glass top to feel open air like a convertible. It uses all-wheel drive from three electric motors that make over 1,000 horsepowers and huge turning force for quick starts.
It goes from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 1.9 seconds and reaches over 250 miles per hour top speed. A special SpaceX add-on uses small gas pushers to make it even faster, maybe under 1 second to 60, and better at turns and stops.
Battery and Range
2026 Tesla Roadster is going to have biggest meaning 200 kWh battery among entire Tesla lineup. It is expected to have range of 620 miles in single full charge. It has 320 kW charging support and also it has save energy tech which is effective when you slowly drive.
Interior
The inside is simple with good seats for four and a big screen in the middle for maps, music, and controls. Tesla’s Autopilot helps drive with smart features that update online. You can check the car from your phone app. It has strong build and air bags for safety, but full tests come later.
Price & Release Date of Tesla Roadster 2026
You can reserve it since 2017 with $50,000 down. The basic one costs $200,000, and a special Founders version is $250,000 for just 1,000 cars. Making starts slow for early buyers, then more after 2027 from Tesla factories.
