Ford has introduced the EcoBoost Mustang RTR, a factory-tuned performance variant developed in collaboration with racing driver Vaughn Gittin Jr.’s RTR tuning firm. This model aims to deliver enhanced power and performance over the standard EcoBoost Mustang.
At the 2025 Detroit Auto Show, Gittin Jr. showcased the new Mustang RTR by performing a dynamic drift demonstration on the show floor, thrilling attendees with its capabilities. While Ford has yet to release detailed specifications or pricing, the vehicle is expected to incorporate performance enhancements from the Dark Horse trim, including upgraded suspension components and unique chassis tuning.
Styling cues that set the RTR apart from the standard EcoBoost Mustang include lime-green-painted Brembo brake calipers, 19-inch wheels, and a distinctive rear spoiler. Notably, the front grille features illuminated portholes, adding a unique touch to its appearance.
The standard EcoBoost Mustang has already demonstrated impressive performance, achieving 0 to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. With the anticipated enhancements in the RTR model, enthusiasts can look forward to an even more exhilarating driving experience.
Ford has not yet announced the official release date or pricing for the Mustang RTR. However, the collaboration with RTR signifies a commitment to offering a high-performance option for those seeking a turbocharged Mustang with enhanced capabilities.
