This is the review of newly unveiled 2027 Kia Telluride. In this post we will go through all the details we know about it. We got exclusive closeup walkaround of this vehicle and let me tell you this is an really close to production model. Early first quarter of 2026 should see these cars hitting showrooms, which is impressive given its prototypical appearance.
Exterior Styling
The new Telluride features hard edges and a modern look, particularly from the front. It’s clearly still a Kia Telluride—anyone familiar with the original would recognize it immediately. However, the details have been updated significantly.
Front End Design

The front end has recognizable daytime running lights at the top. Like the original, it includes those favorite amber running lights. Interestingly, the headlight is positioned between the grille and the running light, creating a boxy, sharp design. This model is the rugged X-Pro version, featuring recovery points at the front. Kia has confirmed 9.1 inches of ground clearance.
Tires and Wheels

The prototype wears Continental CrossContact tires, which may or may not be final for production. The X-Pro gets a more aggressive tire package. Wheel options include 18-inch for the X-Pro, plus 20-inch and 21-inch sizes depending on the trim.
Rear End and Dimensions

The tail lights resemble those on a Range Rover, and the rear shape echoes that influence, but it’s a flattering comparison since Range Rovers are attractive SUVs. The overall silhouette remains recognizable and looks good. Recovery points are also at the rear. The new Telluride is about an inch taller, 2.3 inches longer overall, and has a 2.7-inch longer wheelbase, providing extra interior room.
Exterior Details
This color combo includes a floating roof design with body-color top and separation on the D-pillar. There’s a distinct notch at the top of the wheel arch interlocking with the sheet metal. The rocker panels appear more rugged in gloss black, which might scuff easily. Door handles are flush when driving and pop out upon approach.
Interior Overview

This example is mostly black, making materials harder to see, but displays showed appealing two-tone options. Accent lighting highlights the dash and door cards. The cabin is futuristic and minimalist without extremes.
Driver Controls and Tech

Seat controls now include heating, ventilation, and memory, plus a heated steering wheel. Window and mirror switches are on the left door as expected. The steering wheel has a boxy design with genuine buttons, not touch-sensitive. Screens connect the driver display and center unit.
Climate controls use dedicated hard switches below the screen, ideal for gloved use. A volume roller and shortcuts add convenience. Two wireless chargers sit in front of the center console.
Grab bars integrate into the console for an elegant, clean design that’s functional without excess switches. The drive selector and start/stop button are below and in front of the steering wheel.
Seating Materials

The seats mix materials comfortably, including different fabrics.
Second-Row Seating
The second row is comfortable, with rear shades. It includes heated and ventilated seats on the door. A sliding console in the rear offers climate controls and vents at the top.
Third-Row Access and Comfort
The third row is somewhat tight, not as spacious as a Grand Highlander, but functional. Sliding the second row forward provides ample room. Vents, a USB-C port, and cup holders are available. For more space, the second row tumbles via switch and reclines.
Cargo Space

Despite being a three row seater this still offers decent space. Folding the third row get you even more room so that’s an advantage too. In the rear there is a 12-volt socket, 150-watt power outlet, and switches to fold the second row. Apart from this the power liftgate is standard.
Powertrain and Pricing Speculation
As of now the details about powertrain, fuel economy and pricing remains unannounced. But i think it will update engine from Hyundai Palisade which is of a 3.5L V6 with 287 hp and a 2.5L hybrid with 329 hp combined.
Whether both powertrains or tweaks apply is unclear. Pricing speculation suggests starting under $40,000, like the current model.
Conclusion
More details will emerge at the upcoming LA Auto Show. The design impresses in person, even elements like the front end that looked uncertain in photos. This is a good-looking vehicle overall.
