Car Dealer Review 2025 Lincoln Navigator

The much-awaited world debut of the 2025 Lincoln Navigator has finally arrived, and there’s a lot to be excited about. Whether you’re in the market for a luxury SUV or simply a fan of automotive innovation, the new Navigator brings updates, refinements, and high-end features that stand out in its class. Let’s take a close look into what makes the 2025 Lincoln Navigator a game-changer in the world of full-size SUVs.

The New Look of the 2025 Lincoln Navigator

The 2025 Lincoln Navigator has undergone some exciting design updates while retaining the classic elements that fans have come to love. The model I reviewed was the standard wheelbase Reserve trim, featuring the Jetpack blacked-out package. From the darkened 22-inch wheels to the absence of chrome in the front, this SUV oozes style and sophistication.

One of the most noticeable changes is the lit Lincoln logo accompanied by a double LED signature and new headlamps. The lower bumper has been redesigned to be blocky and simple, giving the front end a solid, commanding look.

The rear of the vehicle also got a refresh, and one of the coolest new features is the split tailgate—a first for the Lincoln Navigator.

Elevated Towing Capabilities

For those who need their luxury SUV to work hard, the Navigator doesn’t disappoint. Lincoln has bumped up the towing capacity from 8,300 lbs to 7,000 lbs without weight distribution hitches and 8,700 lbs with them.

Thanks to the simplified 2-inch receiver and hand-based setup, towing has never been easier. The inclusion of both seven-pin and four-pin wiring makes sure you’re ready for any towing challenge.

The Black Label Edition

Now, let’s talk about the Black Label truck, the long-wheelbase version of the Navigator that is designed for those who want nothing less than the ultimate in luxury. The Black Label trim features 24-inch wheels and stunning copper accents on the grille and wheels, which extend into the interior design with what Lincoln calls the Atmospheric Theme.

Inside, the Black Label Navigator brings the perfect balance of contrasting materials and wood accents, making the SUV feel as luxurious as it looks.

You also get a split tailgate that can hold up to 500 lbs—ideal for tailgating or simply taking a break during long drives. The increased cargo space in the long-wheelbase version makes this SUV a direct competitor to the likes of the GMC Yukon XL and Cadillac Escalade.

High-Tech Comfort and Luxury

The 2025 Navigator is packed with tech and comfort features to enhance every ride. The 48-inch display offers a wide range of functionality, including Lincoln’s BlueCruise driver-assist technology, which is standard across all trims.

One controversial feature is the digitally controlled vents, which some automotive enthusiasts don’t like. Personally, I find it a convenient way to manage airflow without taking your hands off the wheel.

Speaking of comfort, Lincoln introduced the Rejuvenate feature, designed to turn your drive into a spa-like experience. Reclining seats, massage options, ventilation, and even scented air are part of the rejuvenation package. Unfortunately, this experience is reserved for the driver, but passengers still benefit from heated and massaging seats in the rear.

One surprising aspect of the 2025 Navigator is what hasn’t changed—its powertrain. Lincoln stuck with the 3.5L twin-turbo V6 engine, producing 440 horsepower and 510 lb-ft of torque.

Despite the rising demand for hybrid options, the Navigator doesn’t offer one (yet), but the existing engine provides plenty of power with a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Rear Seat Features and Luxury

Lincoln has expanded the luxury experience to the rear seats, making sure second- and third-row passengers feel just as pampered as those in the front.

The rear seats offer screens for entertainment, multiple charging ports, and even massage functionality. In the third row, reclining seats ensure comfort, and at 6’3″, I found ample legroom and headroom—an important factor for long road trips.

Whether you’re transporting a full family or just a few passengers, the third row doesn’t feel like an afterthought, offering cup holders and charging ports for added convenience. Lincoln has certainly made sure that the luxury touches extend all the way to the back.

Pricing and Availability

If you’re excited about the 2025 Lincoln Navigator, you can place your order starting in October 2024. Pricing for the current 2024 models starts at around $84,000, and the Black Label edition can range between $108,000 and $125,000 depending on the features you add. Expect the 2025 model to come in at a slightly higher price point, but still under $100,000 for most trims.
