Specs Review of 2025 Volvo V60 Cross Country

Specs Review of 2025 Volvo V60 Cross Country

Nowadays its hard to find reliable luxury wagon but 2025 V60 Cross Country is latest wagon in the market with powerful 2.0 turbo hybrid engine. today we are having detailed look at it.

Pricing and Configurations

There are two different configurations for the 2025 V60 Cross Country:

  • The Plus, starting at $51,445
  • The Ultra (which we are reviewing today), starting at $56,545

One disappointing thing about trim levels of 2025 V60 Cross Country is that both of these trim levels gives you same 2.0L engine. which in my opinion lacks power compare to other wagons in market.

Performance and Powertrain

All new V60 Cross Country offers 8-speed automatic transmission with 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder with a mild hybrid system across all the trims. This four cylinder system produce impressive 247 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque at 1,800 RPM.

Performance specs include:

  • 0 to 60 mph: ~6.6 seconds
  • Top speed: 115 mph
  • Fuel economy: 24 MPG city / 31 MPG highway (premium unleaded fuel required)

Driving Modes

You can see in the image above, There’s a gear-type icon in the lower right-hand corner of the infotainment screen, which provides access to different driving modes. At the top, there’s an Off-Road mode, and at the bottom, there’s a Steering Feel Firm mode, which I always prefer. It provides nice firm stability to steering while driving.

Braking

Braking is just as important as acceleration. The V60 Cross Country features:

  • 13.6-inch ventilated front discs
  • 12.6-inch ventilated rear discs
  • 60-0 mph stopping distance: 121 feet (respectable for this class)

Honestly speaking, I must admit that i am impressed with braking system and its performance. when i tested braking i felt much firmer than what i expected, almost like a sports sedan, which is uncommon in luxury vehicles. Volvo did an excellent job here in braking system.

Suspension and Handling

  • Front: Independent double-wishbone suspension
  • Rear: Integral link suspension

My favorite part of this review was the ride quality test. i was eagerly waiting for driving this all new Volvo V60 along with my team seating in back and front seat. the V60 does provide feel good factor with outstanding smoothness and comfort. added touch of drive mode enhance the drive and performance quality, especially in the Steering Feel Firm mode, providing precise handling and a confident driving experience.

Cabin Noise and Visibility

At 53 mph, the cabin remains serene, disregarding the rain.

  • Rear visibility: Excellent, thanks to the wagon shape
  • Forward visibility: Great, with standard rain-sensing windshield wipers
  • Head-up display: Available on the Ultra trim, showing speed, speed limit, and safety alerts

Exterior Design

Volvo made all of us happy with new look of Volvo V60, I am impressed by Thor’s hammer style DRL’s, Gloss black window surrounds, Diamond cut alloys special 19 inch one which you get in Ultra trim. overall it scores 10 out of 10 in the exterior design.
