I can’t believe Mercedes just revealed 2026 Mercedes-AMG E53 for US market. This is going to be a new addition to E-Class family and i must say it’s an impressive wagon.
Exterior Design of 2026 Mercedes-AMG E53
Let’s start with exterior first, Front fascia of 2026 Mercedes-AMG E53 features illuminated AMG-specific radiator trim with vertical slats. We can also see new air vents with each featuring two vertical fins. Additionally, now new front fenders have been widened 11mm on each side.
From side, 2026 Mercedes-AMG E53 looks very long thanks to its AMG-specific side skirt panels which visually connect the front and rear wheel arches. We see 21-inch cross-spoke forged wheels which also gives more sporty looks to 2026 AMG E53.
Interior Design
Inside 2026 Mercedes-AMG E53 we get Nappa leather, suede, and MB-Tex. For music/audio system the 17-speaker Burmester is going to be standard across all the trims.
Mercedes has also announced “Edition One” version which exclusively features Alpine Grey paint and exclusive AMG graphics.
Engine and Performance
We all know that 2026 Mercedes-AMG E53 is an plug-in hybrid vehicle with 3.0L turbocharged inline-six engine. This engine is capable of producing impressive 577 horsepower. Also, there is optional Race Start system which is tuned to produce 604 horsepower. With 21.2 kWh usable battery 2026 Mercedes-AMG E53 has the electric range of 40 miles on full charge.
Performance Features and Optional Packages
Surprisingly, 2026 Mercedes-AMG E53 can achieve 0 to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds, and 3.8 seconds with Race Start System. However, you must remember that you will need AMG Dynamic Plus Package for “Race Start System”. Which adds some features like:
- Performance steering wheel
- 15.4-inch front AMG composite brakes
- 155 mph to 174 mph Top speed
- active rear-axle steering
Verdict
2026 Mercedes-AMG E53 is estimated to cost around $90,000 range. Overall, it features lot’s of advance features, i personally like Race Start System of 2026 Mercedes-AMG E53 included in Dynamic Plus Package. This package really adds more value to AMG E53.
